SMILE IS A GOOD MEDICINE #2
The Dotted Dog
A Farmer once wanted to buy a white dog with black spots. So he went to a dog dealer and asked him if he had such an animal for sale. The dealer replied that he had several white dogs, and several black dogs, but no white dogs with black spots. He promised, however, to get one for him by the following day.
On the fallowing day the farmer called and got his dog. It was just the sort of the dog he wanted; it had the right shape, the right colour, and the right number of spots.
The next day he took the dog for a walk. He had not gone far before it began to rain, and the spots on the dog`s began to run. In a short time the spots were entirely washed away by the rain.
He went back to the dealer and angrily explained what had happened. The dealer kept cool and merely replied: “There was an umbrella that went with that dog; didn`t you get it?”
